Advocating for Japanese as a Foreign Language – but not only Japanese!

Teachers of less-commonly-taught languages (LCTLs) must often manage curriculum design, recruitment, and advocacy in isolated “departments of one.” In this session, three Japanese teachers demonstrate how awareness of their small programs’ larger ecological contexts has helped to identify networks of support and sustain their vitality.
