I Am Your Host: Welcoming Novice Japanese Learners into Genre-Based Writing

Session Description
In this presentation, the presenter will show how to implement genre-based writing in a foreign language class. The presentation will cover the definition of a genre, how genre-based writing is helpful in writing class, and the instruction unit aiming at novice proficiency learners who have limited knowledge of writing in the target language.
