How to Implement Integrated Performance Assessment in Language Classrooms

Presented by:

Noriyo Salzmann

Fall 2022 Presenters

Session Description

In this session, Integrated Performance Assessment will be presented, which includes three modes of communication: interpretive, interpersonal and presentational. Each task connects to each of the others, and students receive feedback every time they complete each task.  IPAs can provide opportunities to students to demonstrate their language skills in a real-world context. This presentation will introduce and explain three examples of IPAs for Japanese learners, including rubrics, examples for what needs to be designed, and how each task in each assessment needs to be structured.
